慶應義塾体育会は、体育の向上を図るとともに、人格の陶冶に資することを目的として明治25（1892）年に誕生した、自主的運営の学生団体です。慶應義塾体育会矢上部硬式庭球部は、慶應義塾体育会会則 第49条に基づいて、慶應義塾体育会に設置されている団体であり、国内外で開催されるテニス競技会へ慶應義塾大学代表として出場しています。国内外のテニス競技の発展を先導することを目的とし、競技能力の研鑽のみならず競技運営活動や各種社会貢献活動、学術研究調査を実施することを重視しています。

 

慶應義塾體育會矢上部硬式庭球部（通称：リコタイテニス部）は、1939年に藤原工業大学鍛錬部として発足して以来、テニスの「楽しさ」を大切にしながら活動して参りました。 それは、選手・応援・審判員・指導者・ボールパーソン・OBOGの方々など、多様な関わり方でチームに貢献する全ての部員を「RESPECT：リスペクト」する姿勢の歴史でもあります。実際に本庭球部は、競技面での活躍のみならず、公認審判員の有資格者数でも日本最大級の規模を誇ります。また、学業・学術面でも卓越した成果を挙げ、創部から80年以上にわたって、全社会の先導者たる人材を数多く輩出して参りました。そしてそれを支えるのは、OBOG組織である慶應矢上庭球会など、慶應義塾社中からのご支援です。元プロテニス選手である牟田口恵美氏を筆頭に、部員3人につき1人の指導者を擁する大学庭球部は全国的にも類を見ません。

​　今後も本庭球部は、充実した競技・学術研究環境の下、「誰でも気軽に参加できる体育会」として、慶應義塾の全学部から志ある塾生を広く受け入れ、日本さらには世界に貢献して参ります。

 Since its establishment in 1939 as the Fujiwara Institute of Technology Training Team, the Keio Yagami Tennis Team has been active in valuing the "fun" of tennis. It is also a history of the attitude of "Respect": Respect all members who contribute to the team in various ways.We tried to have the best performances not only in the athletic aspect but also in terms of supporting players. Also, we have achieved great academic and scholarship, and over the 80 years since its establishment, has produced many people who have gone on to become leaders in society. This has been made possible by the support of Keio University. Led by former professional tennis player Emi Mutaguchi, we have many coaches who support players' growth.

　We will continue to accept ambitious students from all Keio University's faculties as a "sports association that anyone can participate in" and academic research environment, and hope that we can contribute to Japan and the world.
